I’ve stayed at the Crystal River Motel many times for many different events. The bad reviews here are clearly the other motels in the area who are competing. The front desk people are always smiling and so polite. Always offering up tidbits of things to do in the area, where to eat etc. The rooms always smell like pine and I’ve never had a bug in my room. The motel is on a huge lot with lots of plants and grass. I’ve hosted a few events in the yard space and will continue booking with them when I’m there. (I’m a New Yorker)
I recently stayed here and it was very nice, room was clean, no bugs and aside from the wifi going in amd out my stay was quite pleasant.

Great having cheaper hotels still where ppl can afford. It's not a bad spot at all. 60 a night for a room is a fair price for a room and bed w mini fridge + mic didn't see one bug.... I'll b BK real soon on my travels again.
For the price, I give the room a 4. It was clean and beds/pillows very comfortable. Yes, it was outdated but considering the place just withstood a hurricane I’d say pretty good shape. I’m sure someday the owners will retexture the ceilings. Bathroom was adaquate but outdated but everything worked. We checked in via the window at 9pm. We thought the office was closed but were so happy someone answered at the window. Hotels in the area were completely booked due to hurricane victims needing to stay for housing we assume. The floors were a little humid upon entering but when we turned on the new looking AC everything dried up. No funky smells. Just a nice enough place to stay for the night. The pool will be a while before use due to storm. Giving it a 4 for the value. $71 for a king.
Stayed here during manatee season. The motel is very, very close to the springs. I didn’t have to pay for Uber or anything. I was able to just head over for my kayaking tour. The motel is clean, bug free and the staff were very welcoming without being overbearing. The house keeper was chatty and nice. I will be back for oyster season and hopefully back again for the next manatee season. The place is very quiet and is on a very beautiful property. Best prices in the area too. Check them out.
Now you want a quality quiet hotel.This is a beautiful place.Get the best sleep great beds.Good, hot shower, great management.Great parking?It's a real place to relax.There's nothing close by to walk 22 get any food or anything, but other than that.This is a great place that I would recommend anybody that wants a quiet night's sleep here to sleep here
I'm not sure if that's the competition leaving bad reviews but I left a OPEN plate of food and not ONE roach showed up. Rooms are clean and prices are the best in town. All I need is a sanitary clean room with air conditioning, TV, microwave and again the best price in town and I'm happy. I would live here full time. I stayed the night before in a hotel in Crystal springs paying 100 a night and saw a bed full of bugs. I'm not sure what kind they were but I won't go there again. I really hope the bad reviews are not fake just to bring down the ratings.
